Principles of Animation

Animated films and television programs have been an integral part of modern popular culture. This project will explore the various techniques used in traditional two-dimensional animation to bring the illusion of motion to a sequence of still images. Through online research and the aid of professionally-used animation workbooks, a series of important animation techniques will be compiled. This set of techniques will then be used in a final animated short that will be approximately one minute long. This animated short will include a simple story and multiple unique character designs. This project will showcase the entire lengthy process that goes into the production of an animated film.
